ABOUT ANJA WOLF
Anja’s passion for dogs started in early childhood. The first Bernese Mountain dog became part of the family when she was 4 years old. Since then dogs have always played an important role in her life. When she moved out of home for job educational reasons she volunteered in a dog shelter. Due to the high commitment in her job, she could not give enough time and attention to her dogs.
Finally, when she started her own family it didn’t take long before she could fulfil her dream of getting her own puppy, a Bernese Mountain dog called Odin. Wholeheartedly Anja attended with Odin many training courses at a professional dog school in Germany based on motivational positive reward training techniques only and deepened her knowledge about dog behaviour, training methods and dog health by reading books, articles and attending workshops with different tutors.
Odin became a so well trained dog that she started dog sports with him and proved that also Bernese Mountain dogs who are generally not known to be a “working breed” can be very successful in dog sports. 2,5 years later Anja got a second Bernese Mountain dog puppy, Remus. With both dogs, individually and simultaneously, Anja has been successfully practicing following dog sports for the past eight years with numerous top three placings: German Begleithundeprüfung, competitive Obedience, Rally Obedience, Dog Dance, Clicker Challenges, Pulling handcart, Mobility.
She has assisted many dog friends with different breeds to build up a harmonious relationship with their dog based on a trustful and joyful leadership which is in her opinion the key to success.
Anja will be joining SuperNova Academy Of Dog Sports as an volunteer dog sports instructor. We believe with her vast experience in Germany, she will be able to contribute to our dog training programs in her unique way. She will be bringing us a few dog sports that are popular in Germany– Dog Dancing and Clicker Challenges, that’s close to her heart, to our students in Singapore.
